Hello all, First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Anuraj Nayarisseri. His unwavering passion for making students acclimated with Computational Biology, Chemistry and Bioinformatics are truly commendable. I come from a core Biotechnology background so the importance of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics in today's industrial scenario was never a foreign concept for me but to adapt in the aforementioned and achieve a flexible proficiency in both the core biological science and computers was a tedious task. Dr. Nayarisseri's focused approach towards every student was the reason I was able to learn a lot in a very short period of time. Hello All, Myself Neha Singh, Mtech Biotechnology from IIT bombay. The time I was pursuing Mtech Biotechnology, although I knew much about the importance of computers and computer applications in biological sciences, due to lack of good knowledge of computers, Bioinformatics always a nightmare for me. There is also a reason for this, as in colleges I have always been taught the theoretical aspects with little of practical exposure, which made the diclipilne of Bioinformatics a insipid discipline. It was when I joined Eminent Biosciences, the interest in Bioinformatics ushered upon me. Altogether different perspective of bioinformatics was presented before here which made my thoughts to love Bioinformatics - the one which was a nightmare a few months earlier. In my live project, I was taught 60 different bio/cheminformatics softwares and applications for solving different problems. Rigorous training and timeless training sessions was actually fruitful. It fetched me two research articles in esteemed journals. Soon after the boost, my interest grew to more and started liking Bioinformatics than anything else I've ever learnt!!! The core of bioinformatics lies in programming, and therefore I was well trained from elementary to advanced levels in R, Perl, Python, Unix, shell scripting, Microarray analysis, NGS analysis, Transcriptome, Exome whole Genome analysis, Mobile app development including Android and Iphone app dev etc. Meanwhile, I was also bestowed with an opportunity to work with DBT, Govt of India funded projects. With these, now I had 4 research papers added to résumé, and certainly it was best ever happy to my academics but the glory all to my mentor Dr. Anuraj Nayarisseri. He was the man, who pitched my academics to all new heights which is evident that I'm in NIH today. The best any biologist can get. I still wonder, if Anuraj Sir, would have been to shape my career, I wouldn't have cherished NIH. My billion thanks to Anuraj Sir, the architect of my dreams, academics and career. I wish, his company Eminent Bioscience should bring up students to all new heights. I seriously recommend graduate and post students to join Eminent Biosciences for industry driven projects for their bright future ahead. I have always been interested in learning NGS data analysis since it can be a powerful tool to study cellular expression profiles, genome signatures and their interactions. NGS data is used to approach problems holistically rather than the conventional reductionist approach which is opening newer insights to scientific questions. I have my masters in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics from IBAB. I had joined Eminent Biosciences last november in 2016 for learning analysis on real time NGS data funded by BCIL. Eminent Biosciences offers a challenging environment for students to hone their skills in programming languages like Python, R, Perl which is key to handling enormous data , to posit the right questions and utilise the NGS tools efficiently. Dr. Anuraj Nayariserri is an erudite and skillful mentor who have taught and motivated me to employ my skills and analyse the data using requisite methods. I am currently working in NCBS and i find the training purposeful and beneficial for my current endeavours, i am employing many skills i learnt at Eminent Biosciences. "Bioinformatics" i learned the meaning of this word only after working under the great mentor, guide Dr. Anuraj Nayarisseri. I joined Eminent Biosciences for Industrial training program through BCIL in 2015. I was very naive to this field but I learned a lot through the training and guidance provided by Anuraj Sir. My project was on transcriptomics study and along with that i learned basics in R, Perl and Linux. His training provided me the ability to explore, learn new skills and focus on long term objectives. These skills and objectives helped me to build my professional career. After my training I got job in Scigenom, Kochi.
